| Day 1 Tue: Arrive Darwin On arrival in Darwin you will be transferred to your hotel. This afternoon join a tour of the city including the Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory. This everning enjoy a Welcome Drink with your Tour Director. Hotel: Holiday Inn Esplanade, Darwin. Day 2 Wed: Katherine Gorge Head south towards Katherine. Stop at the Adelaide River War Cemetery and cruise through Katherine Gorge. Hotel: Paraway Motel, Katherine. Day 3 Thu: Ord River Cruise Travel to Lake Argyle. Cruise on the Ord River to Kununurra. Hotel: Country Club Hotel, Kununurra, 2 nights. Day 4 Fri: Kununurra See the Ord River Irrigation Scheme and Hidden Valley National Park. Day 6 Sun: El Questro Cruise through Chamberlain Gorge. At Emma Gorge Resort there is time to sit by the pool or to hike into Emma Gorge for a refreshing swim. Day 7 Mon: Lirrgarn Argyle Diamond Mine Visit the Lirrgarn Argyle Diamond Mine for a guided tour of the world's largest diamond mine. Continue to Halls Creek. Hotel: Kimberley Hotel, Halls Creek. Day 8 Tue: Geikie Gorge Travel to Fitzroy Crossing. This afternoon enjoy a cruise through Geikie Gorge. Hotel: Fitzroy River Lodge, Fitzroy Crossing. Day 9 Wed: Derby – Broome Travel to the port of Derby and see the famous Boab Prison Tree, before continuing to tropical Broome. Hotel: Cable Beach Club Resort, Broome, 2 nights. |
Day 10 Thu: Broome 'Free Time' Enjoy a full day at leisure in Broome. Opposite the hotel is Cable Beach. Day 11 Fri: Port Hedland Skirt the edge of the Great Sandy Desert to Port Hedland, a major shipping port. Hotel: Hospitality Inn, Port Hedland. Day 12 Sat: The Pilbara Travel into Karijini National Park. Hotel: Deluxe Eco Tents with Ensuites, Karijini Eco Retreat. Day 13 Sun: Karijini National Park We continue to explore Karijini National Park. Later we continue to Tom Price where we will enjoy a guided tour of the Pilbara Open Cut Iron Ore Mine. Hotel: Windawarri Lodge, Tom Price. Day 14 Mon: North West Cape Today visit Giralia Station. This afternoon travel to Exmouth on the boundary of the Ningaloo Marine Park. Hotel: Potshot Hotel Resort, Exmouth. Day 15 Tue: Ningaloo Reef Travel to Coral Bay and join a sub-sea viewer over the Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia's largest coral reef. Visit Shell Beach and continue to Monkey Mia. Hotel: Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort, 2 nights. Day 16 Wed: Monkey Mia See the dolphins come ashore this morning. (Note: As dolphins are wild their appearance cannot be guaranteed) Day 17 Thu: Kalbarri Visit Hamelin Pool followed by Kalbarri National Park and continue to Geraldton. Day 20 Sun: Perth – Margaret River This morning stop at the Forest Heritage Centre before exploring Mammoth Cave. Continue on to Margaret River. Hotel: All Seasons Margaret River, Margaret River, 2 nights. Day 21 Mon: Margaret River See Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse then enjoy a tour, tastings and lunch at Palandri Winery. Time to explore Margaret River. Day 22 Tue: Albany View the Gloucester Tree, journey through the spectacular Valley of the Giants and enjoy a views along the Tree Top Walk. Continue to Torndirrup National Park then visit Whaleworld. Hotel: Metro Inn, Albany.
