| Day 1 Sun: Arrive Perth On arrival in Perth you will be transferred to your hotel. This afternoon join an orientation tour of the city, including beautiful Kings Park. Enjoy a welcome drink and dinner tonight with your Tour Director and fellow travelling companions. Hotel: Ambassador Hotel, Perth. Day 2 Mon: The Pinnacles In Nambung National Park view the spectacular mystical Pinnacles, calcified limestone pillars which were formed thousands of years ago. These provide an almost eerie landscape. Enjoy an orientation tour of Geraldton, located on the Batavia Coast and renowned for its many shipwrecks. Hotel: All Seasons Geraldton, Geraldton. Day 3 Tue: Kalbarri National Park This morning travel through Kalbarri National Park visiting Hawks Head Lookout for marvelous bird’s eye views of the Murchinson River Gorge. We later visit Hamelin Pool to see a colony of ancient Stromatolites, the world’s oldest display of living fossils. Visit Shell Beach, which consists of millions of shells up to 10 metres deep. Mia Reserve, nestled against the pristine
waters of the Shark Bay Marine Park,
where dolphins come into shore. These
wild mammals of the ocean swim into
the shallows to mingle with people.
Feel the magic of interacting with
these magnificent creatures, a truly
unforgettable experience. (Note: As
dolphins are wild their appearance cannot
be guaranteed.) Continue to Carnarvon. Hotel: Hospitality Inn, Carnarvon. Day 5 Thu: Exmouth Travel to Coral Bay a quaint seaside town, where we join a sub-sea viewer for a cruise over the Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia’s largest coral reef. Observe the abundance of marine life that inhabits these tropical waters and marvel at the brilliant display of colourful coral formations. Continue to Exmouth, situated on the boundary of Cape Range National Park and Ningaloo Marine Park. Hotel: Potshot Inn, Exmouth. Day 6 Fri: Tom Price Today visit Giralia Station, a birdwatcher’s paradise. It is an area of outstanding biodiversity with many different species of flora and fauna, some of which are unique to the station. Travel to Tom Price, in the heart of the Pilbara. Hotel: Windawarri Lodge, Tom Price. Day 7 Sat: Karijini National Park We travel into Karijini National Park |
where spectacular gorges, waterfalls and
rock pools provide a contrast to the red
Pilbara landscape. See Hamersley Gorge
as we head west through the oasis that is
Millstream National Park. Hotel: All Seasons, Karratha. Day 8 Sun: Port Hedland - Broome Our journey today takes us north, firstly into Port Hedland, a major shipping outlet for the mineral rich Pilbara region. We travel to 80 Mile Beach and parallel to the edge of the Great Sandy Desert before arriving in the pearling capital of Broome. Hotel: Mercure Inn Continental, Broome, 2 nights. Day 9 Mon: Broome ‘Free Time’ Enjoy a day at leisure exploring this tropical hideaway. You may wish to relax on magnificent Cable Beach, one of the most stunning beaches in the world, with 22km of white sand and clear tropical water. There are a number of options available and your Tour Director will be able to help you with suggestions. Perhaps take a spectacular scenic flight over the Buccaneer Archipelago or ride a camel at sunset on the beach. Stroll through Chinatown, home to some of the world’s finest pearl showrooms. Day 10 Tue: Depart Broome You will be transferred to Broome Airport to connect with your onward flight. |
