| Day 1: Broome – Windjana
Gorge We depart Broome and travel via the Derby Prison Tree for a short visit. We now leave the bitumen behind us as we enter the Gibb River Road, almost instantly we can feel the remoteness. A walk up Windjana Gorge this afternoon is sure to impress. The area is rich in Aboriginal culture and your guide will tell you about the “outlaw” Jandamurra, the Bunaba people and the battle of Devils Pass. Camp: Windjana National Park. Day 2: Bell Gorge This morning we’re off to Tunnel Creek, have your bathers and torches ready. This amazing tunnel cuts through the Napier Range and is rich in history, as your guide will explain. Afternoon sees us off to Bell Gorge. Camp: Silent Grove. Day 3: Manning Gorge Leaving Bell Gorge this morning, we travel through the beautiful scenery of the Kimberley’s highest mountain range, King Leopold Ranges, on our way to Galvans Gorge. This gorge will tempt you to don the bathers. For those feeling like a walk, a visit to Manning Gorge this afternoon is recommended. Camp: Mt. Barnett Station. Day 4: El Questro Our journey today takes us through the majestic Cockburn Ranges, have your cameras ready for the spectacular scenery and panoramic views of the Cockburn Ranges, Cambridge Gulf and the twin rivers of the Durack and Pentecost. Camp: El Questro. Day 5: Kununurra The morning sees us soaking in the thermal pools of Zebedee Springs, before a walk to stunning Emma Gorge on |

in the crystal clear waters, before we head
to the Kimberley town of Kununurra. Camp: Kununurra. Day 6: Bungle Bungles Depart Kununurra and drive via the scenic Ragged Range on to Turkey Creek, where we have a short stop. We head to the Bungle Bungles turn off and 53 kms along a very scenic, winding dirt road via the magnificent Osmand Range. We arrive in time for lunch. There is time for an afternoon walk in Echidna Chasm and Mini Palms (time permitting) before arriving at our overnight camp on sunset. Camp: Purnululu National Park. Day 7: Kununurra This morning we head to the southern end for a walk through the Bee Hive area of Piccaninny Creek and Cathedral Gorge. An optional helicopter flight (own expense) gives you the advantage to view these magnificent formations close up from the air. Camp: Kununurra, 2 nights. Day 8: Kununurra at Leisure Free day today to enjoy the many attractions and sights Kununurra has to offer. Day 9: Fitzroy Crossing Today we head south with a short stop at Turkey Creek. This afternoon we visit the Kimberley town of Halls Creek, situated on the edge of the Great Sandy Desert, on our way to our overnight camp. Camp: Fitzroy River Lodge. Day 10: Broome This morning we visit Geikie Gorge where you will have the opportunity to cruise along the Fitzroy River through the Oscar Range (own expense) before returning to Broome in the afternoon. |
